Suzanne Vinnik
Soprano
Soprano Suzanne Vinnik has appeared with some of the leading regional opera houses throughout her career and has been described by Opera News as “refreshing” and praised for her “beautifully molded, vividly communicative phrasing.” Ms. Vinnik’s recent engagements have included performances at Florida Grand Opera as Violetta in La Traviata; Pittsburgh Opera as Leïla in Les Pêcheurs de Perles, and the title role in Hänsel und Gretel; Lyric Opera Virginia as Micaela in Carmen; Opera Piccola San Antonio in Ricky Ian Gordon's Orpheus & Euridice; and with the Castleton Festival under the baton of Lorin Maazel. She was also a member of the Opera Studio at Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia under the mentorship of Renata Scotto.
This season, Ms. Vinnik makes her Russian concert debut at the Stanislavsky Theater in Moscow and Saratov as part of the US Embassy concerts with Maestro Constantine Orbelian. She also returns to headline in a special performance with Las Vegas Academy following an appearance with the Las Vegas Philharmonic at the Smith Center.
Ms. Vinnik is a recipient of the Georg Solti Foundation Grant, the Olga Forrai Foundation Grant, and the Sullivan Foundation Career Development Award. She was a major prize winner in the Opera Index Inc., and first prize winner in the New Jersey Verismo Opera among other accolades from Gerda Lissner, George London Foundation, Liederkranz, Queen Sonja and others.
Apart from her singing engagements, Ms. Vinnik is the creator of the popular Opera Diva Dress Collection, a peer to peer lending platform for others in the industry.

Karolina Pilou
Mezzo-Soprano

This past summer she sang the role of Marquise de Berkenfield (La Fille du Régiment ) with The Martina Arroyo Foundation. Other roles she has performed include Quickly in Falstaff with Mannes Opera and Aspen Festival, Zita (Gianni Schicchi) in Israel, Azucena (Il Trovatore) and Older Woman (Flight) in London with the British Youth Opera. As a soloist she has sang Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, Verdi’s Requiem, Bach’s Christmas Oratorio, Handel’s Messiah and Villa Lobos’ Magnificat (The Little Orchestra Society). She has won several awards from The Gerda Lissner, Licia Albanese-Puccini and Career-Bridges Foundations. In 2015 she won 2nd Place at the New York Lyric Opera Competition. She was a Young Artist with DMMO and an Advanced Artist in Dolora Zajick’s IYDV program. This season she will be taking on the role of Arsace in Rossini’s Semiramide with Empire Opera in New York and singing at the Annual Martina Arroyo Foundation Gala . She will also be the soloist in Vivaldi’s Gloria in December.

Joshua Jeremiah
Baritone
Skilled across many genres, Mr. Jeremiah has sung roles ranging from the title role of Rigoletto with Arizona Opera, and Aeneas to Stephanie Bythe’s Dido with Mark Morris Dance Group at Mostly Mozart Festival, to Billy Bigelow in Carousel, and Capt. Lutte in Noel Coward’s Bitter Sweet. He also debuted at ‘Jazz at Lincoln Center’ as a soloist in a Rufus Wainwright concert, and has appeared numerous times in concert with NYFOS and Steven Blier. In the 2016-2017 season, he will make his debut with both Hawaii Opera Theatre, and will return to Arizona Opera to help originate the role of Jim Lassiter in Riders of the Purple Sage.
While a member of the Seattle Opera Young Artist Program, Mr. Jeremiah performed the title roles of Gianni Schicchi and Falstaff, as well as Sam in Bernstein’s Trouble in Tahiti. Other roles include Manrico (Il trovatore), Pollione (Norma), Don José (Carmen), Cavaradossi (Tosca), Rodolfo (La bohème), and the title role in Les contes d’Hoffmann. He has appeared with such opera houses and orchestras as The Glimmerglass Festival, Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, Virginia Opera, Central City Opera, Opera in the Heights, Opera Circle Cleveland, Minnesota Orchestra, Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, and Savannah Philharmonic, amongst others. Mr. Rodriguez holds degrees from Ithaca College, University of Minnesota, and Oberlin Conservatory of Music, and was named 2012 Protégé of the Deborah Voigt/Vero Beach Opera Foundation.

Sean Kelly

Mr. Kelly also has an active teaching career as a past faculty member of Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia in Rome, Opera Theatre and Music Festival of Lucca, and currently the Lorenzo Malfatti Accademia Vocale.

John de los Santos

Director/choreographer John de los Santos has staged a range of productions including La Fille du Regiment for Arizona Opera, Carousel for Ashlawn Opera, María de Buenos Aires for Lexington Philharmonic, Green Sneakers for San Francisco’s Fort Mason Center, and The Pearl Fishers for Fort Worth Opera. His choreography has also been seen at the Washington National, Florida Grand, Dallas, Fort Worth, Philadelphia, Des Moines, and Austin Lyric Opera companies. Other productions include Orpheus & Euridice for Voices of Change, Spring Awakening and Dogfight for WaterTower Theatre, The Golden Apple for Lyric Stage, and Hello Again for Uptown Players. This fall, he will choreograph the world premiere of Jake Hagee and Terrence McNally’s Great Scott. As a librettist, John collaborated with Clint Borzoni on the operas When Adonis Calls (from the poetry of Gavin Geoffrey Dillard) and The Copper Queen. His new opera Service Provider, composed by Christopher Weiss, will premiere at American Opera Initiative in Washington D.C.

Matthew Lobaugh

Matthew Lobaugh is a freelance vocal coach and collaborative pianist currently living in New York City where he maintains a private opera coaching studio and is the Music Director of City-Wide Youth Opera. He has been hired as an audition accompanist for Loft Opera New York, CCM in Spoleto, Carnegie Mellon Regional Auditions in Manhattan, Music Theatre Bavaria New York Regional, DC Public Opera, Verismo Opera of New Jersey, Crested Butte Music Festival and North Shore Music Festival. Matthew began training at Southern Methodist University (Dallas, TX) and graduated with B.M. degrees in both Piano and Vocal Performance. Matthew holds the M.M. in collaborative piano from Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (Cincinnati, OH) and also was a participant in the Artist Diploma program in opera coaching. A graduate of the Domingo-Thorton Young Artist Program at the Los Angeles Opera (2008-10), Matthew's professional operatic credits include the Cincinnati Opera where he served as Assistant Conductor (2007-10) and the Virginia Opera where he was Chorus Master and Cover-Conductor (2009-2010). Locally, Matthew has worked with NorthShore Music Festival, Loft Opera, Opera Breve, Vertical Player Repertory, Capitol Heights Lyric Opera, New York Lyric Opera Theatre, Wendy Tauscher Productions, Martha Cardona Opera Theatre and Amore Opera. Matthew is also featured on the companion CD to the Menotti Arias for Soprano Anthology, published by Hal Leonard (2008).
