Kickstarter Video Edited

1/28/2013

The video for our Kickstarter page has been edited! After many long hours, we few amateur video editors have come up with something  passable. Granted, it took a couple of late nights fumbling and arguing over a MacBook, two home cooked dinners, an one accidental near-deletion--disaster averted.

I can't complain too much, however, because Claudia Vitarelli provided a brick of Italian prosciutto (freshly imported, care of her mother: thank you Mrs. Vitarelli) which we sliced and ate with parmigiana and baguette. Oh lordy, that made the long hours worth it.

The next step in this process is to finish up our application for fiscal sponsorship with Fractured Atlas. Once completed, a fiscal sponsor will allow us to take tax-deductible donations within our Kickstarter campaign. That should be finished in the middle of February, so keep checking back in, and we'll see you soon!

Filming LoftOpera's Kickstarter Video Tomorrow

1/16/2013

Tomorrow morning, at the nippy hour of 9:00 AM, four members of the LoftOpera team are going to be setting up our tripod and filming our Kickstarter video in the new Brooklyn Bridge Park. Granted, the grass might not be as green as it was in this summery photo, but the view of the bridge and of lower Manhattan promises to be breathtaking.

While the weather forecast in DUMBO looks sunny tomorrow morning, the air is going to be barely more than freezing, so you can expect some rosy cheeks and shivers in the Kickstarter video. Perhaps Claudia Vitarelli, our talented videographer and design specialist, can figure out how to edit out the cold!

Daniel Ellis-Ferris, Dean Buck, Davone Tines, and Claudia are going to appear in LoftOpera's Kickstarter video to brief you on what we're doing, how much the project is going to cost, and where exactly your donations will go. Stay posted for more information, and keep an eye out for our upcoming Kickstarter page. We're positively shivering with excitement, and hope you are too!
